A Moment Of Silence

What a rough day ... like too many days in our country's horrific recent history we find ourselves today wondering Why. Yesterday, the campus of Virginia Tech became the site of the deadliest shooting rampage in US history. A gunman, identified as 23 year-old Virginia Tech English Major Cho Seung-Hui, went on a shooting spree that resulted in at least 31 deaths. I am finding it difficult to be witty and funny today so I am going to hold off on writing a usual post so that we can pause and reflect on the tragedy that has occurred in Virginia:

Memorial and prayer services were held last night on the campus of Virginia Tech and all across the country and I think it is very appropriate that we all take the time today to send our thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and everyone else who has been personally affected by this horrible, horrible tragedy. I cannot imagine what those people are going thru right now -- the thought of losing any of my loved ones in such a pointless and horrific rampage just chills my soul. I'm sure there are plenty of sites out there that are operating in a business as usual capacity but I'm choosing to pause today for a moment of silence. Take some time today to say a little prayer, however you see fit, to the affected people in Virginia ... and also take some time to tell your loved ones that you love them. [Source]
