Enter The Spanish Princess

Things are fairly quiet in Hollywoodland on this fine Monday morning ... there ain't much going on with which to sink our teeth into. But, as always, there is news to be had ... so let's have at it.

Kevin Federline is making quite a habit of making the trek up to Malibu, CA to visit estranged wife Britney Spears at the Promises Rehab Facility ... this weekend is no exception. But, instead of just showing up empty handed this time he brought Brit Brit a couple of surprises -- their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James:

Of course, you can't see the little tykes inside K-Fed's white SUV but they're in there. Kevin seems to be doing everything right these days. I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to get back into Britney's good graces over all of this mess. Honestly, and I can't believe I'm saying this, it would prolly be in her best interests to stay friendly or (eek!) even reconcile with The Federline. With rumors going around about a video that could cost Britney custody of her children, she'd be wise to reunite with the her babydaddy so as to circumvent any problems dealing potentially losing her kids. Incidentally, Kevin is the only one of Britney's men who's got her back ... her last ex-boyfriend Isaac Cohen has revealed to People magazine (natch) that he is keeping Britters in his prayers: The most recent man in Britney Spears's life says her decision to check into rehab came as a shock to him, but he supports her. "I was definitely surprised that she went into rehab," model Isaac Cohen told PEOPLE Friday at a party for Cubavera Sportswear at California's Glendale Galleria Macy's. "I didn't feel it had to come to that, but you know, if that's what it takes and if that's what she needs." Cohen, 25, hasn't spoken to Spears in a month, since he divulged intimate details about her and their short-lived relationship to the British tabloid News of the World. Still, he thinks his ex made the right choice by seeking treatment. "It's the best thing for her, her children – for everyone around her, actually," he said. "She's a strong girl and I really feel that she'll be okay" ... Cohen still thinks about Spears, and he told PEOPLE he wants her to know one thing: "You and your family are in my prayers." Well ... it's nice of him to go to the press to tell Britney that he's thinking about her. I hope he's sincere because every since they broke up (and he blabbed to everyone on Earth about their intimate secrets) he hasn't been getting much attention from anyone anymore.

The 21st Annual Soul Train Music Awards were taped this weekend in Pasadena, CA (to be broadcast on TV next weekend) and a bevy of beautiful people were in attendance ... here are a few photos from the red carpet:

Jennifer Hudson is really beating that "blowing kisses" pose to death, ain't she? Shemar Moore and Robin Thicke looked hot ... as did Miss Rosario Dawson. Winners of Soul Train Music Awards this year included Mary J. Blige (Best Female Album), Jamie Foxx (Best Male Album), Jennifer Hudson (The Sammy David Jr. Entertainer of the Year) and Beyonce (Best Female Single, Irreplaceable). All in all, it sounds like the awards went to well-deserved artists. Click HERE to find out who else took home Soul Train Music Awards this year. [Source]

Minnie Driver, Eddie Izzard, Courteney Cox-Arquette and others were on hand this weekend for the premiere party for the new FX TV series The Riches which debuts tonight. Here are pics from the red carpet:

I must admit, I am very glad that Minnie Driver is coming back to TV. I absolutely LOVED her guest starring stint on Will & Grace. My love of Minnie Driver has grown and waned over the years (I've loved her ever since I first saw her in the movie Circle of Friends ... that love waned when she started singing) so I'm hopeful she'll be great in this new series. From what I gather, the show revolves around a family of modern-day gypsies who are finally ready to settle down -- and they do so by stealing the identities of a Southern upper-middle class family. It's a cute idea ... we'll see if they can pull it off and make it interesting enough to watch. Dirt, the other new 2007 FX series, has already lost my interest. I stuck with it for a while but I just don't care about the characters enough to care anymore. Here's hoping that The Riches doesn't end up the same way. [Source]

It would seem that TomKat are no longer interested in hiding little Suri Holmes-Cruise in a storage box anymore ... they are carting that baby-like object everywhere they go these days. Here are pictures of Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and little Suri at a basketball game at Beverly Hills High which took place this weekend:

Randomly, William Mapother the actor who played (and still plays, at least in flashbacks) Ethan Rom on Lost was also at the b-ball game -- UPDATE: Pink reader Laura reminds me that William is Tom Cruise's cousin and was prolly just in on the family fun. You know ... I gotta say ... Suri is getting really supercute. While I can never truly believe that she was naturally born of the loins of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, I can at least admit that she is a very cute ... baby. It's nice that they are showing her off in public more often, it makes them appear more normal. [Source]

Hmm ... so Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds seem to be getting closer as friends ... or whatever. Here are pictures of Ryan and Jessica (Ressica?) enjoying a little lunch together:

As much as I loved Ryan paired up with Alanis Morrissette, I do think that he and Jessica make a cute couple. If she can have no problems being seen out in public with Ryan wearing that headband then I think they're ready for a long and happy life together. [Source]

Here is a great picture of Hilary Duff at her performance on CD Live in Milan, Italy this past week as she continues her Dignity promo tour:

As much as I hate to admit it, I kinda like her gold lame stretchy-pants. It's a look she can rock, especially with her darker hair. A couple Pink readers (like Shell and Carrie) who were also at the G-A-Y nightclub over the weekend for Hilary's performance wrote in to tell me that they thought she gave a great performance and were very happy with the 3 songs that she performed. I realize those nightclub performances aren't meant to be be long and usually only consist of a few songs. While Pink reader Molly wasn't feeling Hilary's performance, others had a great time ... which sounds pretty cool to me. [Source]

I was unaware but apparently Dita Von Teese knows how to smile. We usually only get to see pictures of her smirking but we never get the full-on smile ... and I think now I know why:

I love Dita ... but not when she smiles. I never realized that her nose was so ... pronounced. [Source]

ATTENTION: 24 SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Now ... this isn't really that big a spoiler but I figured that I should put up a warning anyways. Ricky Shroder joins the cast of 24 tonight where he will play CTU agent Mike Doyle to which I must proclaim, WOOT!

Ricky has come a long way since his Silver Spoon days. He already brought the hotness (and the semi-nekkidness) when he starred on NYPD Blue so I can't wait to see what he's gonna bring to the world of 24. I doubt we'll be getting any nekkid butt scenes but I'll take what I can get. Like Gavin Rossdale, Ricky Shoroder keeps getting hotter with age :) [Source]

Avril Lavigne is featured in the new issue of W magazine lookin' very prim and proper:

She really does clean up well ... I much prefer the stylish Avril to the bratty Avril. As much as I (hate to admit that I) like her new song Girlfriend, I think I hate the music video. Oh Avril ... why must you play with my heart like this?! [Source]

Hilary Swank is featured on the cover and in the pages of the April issue of Esquire magazine:

She really does try to do sexy ... I just don't know that she can pull it off. She's an amazing actress with a great body ... and yet ... I still don't see the sexy. [Source]

And finally, Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson are featured in the new issue of Mean magazine:

They look great. Christina looks vey classy, very sexy. I am anxious to see Black Snake Moan and from what I can tell ... these pictures are nothing at all like the film. Dang ... I have a long list of movies that I need to see. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon I met up with Tracey and Zakiya in Ann Arbor where we dined at Connor O'Neils before we walked around downtown Ann Arbor enjoying the mild weather. We weren't out for long because I really wanted to get back to their place so that I could give them their gifts from Spain. Here are pictures of Princess Zakiya in her cute little Spanish dress:

Seriously ... I could die! She looks so cute in that dress. Apparently, Tracey loves the dress so much that she's letting Z wear it to day care today. As if the pics were cute enough, here's a short video of Zakiya running around in her new dress and her gold shoes:

I can't even believe how much talking she does already. She's still tiny, like a little baby but ... she is growing up so fast. Tracey and Z are flying out to LA in a couple of weekends to hang out with me for an extended weekend ... we are going to have so much fun!

I have been having a great weekend so far ... I love my friends, my folks are doing well. My mom is so fully healed she's never home anymore. It's been so great. Last night I found a bunch of my old journals (the ones that led to my creation of Pink is the new Blog) and stayed up late last night reading many of them. I also found a box of old toys which may sound kinda lame but ... was a great find for me.

Also this weekend, Pink is the new Blog had its 80 millionth visitor ... which is just insane to me. Thank you all for your amazing support :)

Tonight I'm meeting up with Erik for a little visit at his place ... I'll get to visit with my cat Majik and I'll get to see the renovations that Erik has done to the place. Afterwards, I'm meeting up with Sarah at her place to hang out ... on my last night before flying out to LA tomorrow.

Happy Monday, y'all ... I'm out.
